Once again AVV students stole the limelight by getting selected for a 100% scholarship, 15 days programme to Japan through American Fields Service (AFS) and Japan Government’s JENESYS programme, from 1st December till 15th December 2010. They visited Tokyo, Chiba, Hiroshima, Kyoto and their host families’ prefectures.



Shikhar Chokshi of IX A captained the Gujarat team in the school nationals held at Nasik. He played the CBSE Nationals and came in the top 16 category in India. He was felicitated by the Gujarat Chief Minister and received cash prize of Rs 5,000 for becoming the Baroda district champion. He won the silver medal at recently held Khel Mahakumbh in U-16 category.
Three students of AVV got selected for 15 days Jenesys programme to Japan, by American Field Service (AFS). They are Sudhanshu Dabral (X), Asad Kadri (X) and Yashaan Cooper (XI). They will be traveling to Japan from first week of December 2010.

Students of Anand Vidya Vihar, a CBSE Senior Secondary School have won laurels at the recently held, CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition competition, on 3-4 Sept 2010, at Mayur School, Ajmer. Jay Asher of Class XI and Darshil Shastri of Class X, have made it to the Nationals from among 49 competing schools. The project was, Flight of the javelin, based on projectile motion. This project combined the art of Science and Maths with Sports. Out of nearly 100 exhibits only 15 were selected for the National, one of them was from Anand Vidya Vihar.


After winning chocolates in Bournvita Quiz Contest, students of class XII, visited a municipal school, addressed the children there and distributed the chocolates to them.

AVV hosted Interschool Environmental Quiz Competition on 17th July. 14 schools participated in it and Bright Day School (CBSE) Vasna stood first and AVV along with Anandalaya School shared the trophy for the second position. The quiz was conducted by well known quiz master, Mr. Subroto Das.


Three students from AVV Yashaan Cooper (IX), Darshil Shah (IX) and Aman Gada (XI) participated in Regional Level C.B.S.E. Science Exhibition at St. Paul’s Sr. Secondary School, Udaipur on 4th and 5th August 2008, their Project was Multi-Storey Farming and they have got selected for National Level at New Delhi.
Shikhar Choksi of class VII of Anand Vidya Vihar stood first in the District Level Table Tennis, Under- 14 Boys, competition held, at Vidyani Vidyalaya, on 22nd August , 08. He has qualified for the State Level.
Darshil Shah of class IX, of Anand Vidya Vihar, stood first in the district level badminton, Under-16 Boys, competition held at Bal Bhavan, Baroda. He has qualified for the State Level.
In the Inter School Debate Competition hosted by Utkarsh Vidyalaya on the 29th August'08, Anand Vidya Vihar stood first with Arundhati Sridhar (XII), V.Vatsalaya (X) and Kshitij Naithani (IX) participating.

In the Inter House Events- the students are in the forefront in all inter house activities especially sports where they displayed excellent skill on the field in handball and football.
